Good:I got a free small jar of “Spiced Tea Mix” that smelled just like the kind my Grandma made (she used Tang, Cloves, and instant tea powder).
Bad: It was full of “Red Hot” style candies, which have no place in tea.
Science: Considering stones rise to the ground surface in fields (it’s true, they do), I could stimulate the same kind of motion and get all the red hots rise to the surface of my tea mix. All it would take is a lot of shaking. When a mixture of different sized-particles get shaken, any spaces underneath larger objects get filled with smaller particles. A framework of powdered tea mixture is slowly made under the red hot candy, which helps it rise to the surface each time it’s shaken.
Total Count: 58
Shake cycles: 7
After this many “shakes, shift, and pluck” cycles I decided to call it quits and be happy with the results. Sadly the tea ended up tasting horrible, but eating the red-hots was lots of fun!
